How to Encourage Reading through Author Studies

If you've ever considered tackling an author study but wondered Is it worth the time? Is it worth the energy?or What can my students really get out of it? then I encourage you to check out a recent post at my How to Teach a Novel site titled Born to Write: What Students Can Learn through Author Study.

    I found your blog a week ago while googling a topic close to my heart: Bringing Nature into the Urban Classroom through Picture books. I am still in the writing stages of my article and a newbie to the blog world, but I love your blog because it is so informative.     I've always loved reading about authors!

    Curiously enough, I got an email newsletter today from Gresswell library supplies and they're introducing more 'sophisticated' authors posters to their range. Check them out - you can even rate them!
