First of all, it's good to hear that I can still get anyone excited, and secondly, Melissa's right. It's time to give away some books.
In the past I've always asked for an email to enter, but a fellow blogger gave me a hard time about this. She said I was making it way too easy, and making everyone else (other book bloggers) look bad. Sorry; that wasn't my intention. I was instead taking a jab at the corporate sites that require a TON of info for access to read one article.
So, to enter for any of the books below, please join this site as a follower (see the link in the sidebar to the right; if given the choice, choose "follow publicly" or I won't be able to see your name). I won't spam you, friend you on Facebook, or email you chain letters. Those who are already following: thanks for the support, and you're grandfathered in. (I also have a secret hope that publishers will send more books for giveaway if they see that the site has a large number of followers; if that's true, we all win!).
So here are some of the terrific titles, as well as the posts in which they appeared. (If you really have a preference for a certain title, email me after following. Otherwise, in the words of that great preschool mantra, you get what you get and you don't get upset):
Siege! Can You Capture a Castle? and Conquest! Can You Build a Roman City?, written by Julia Bruce and illustrated by Peter Dennis, are published by Enslow Publishers here in New Jersey. They appeared in the Step Into History post.
Colorful Caroline and Gilbert Gas were the two Quirkles titles I mentioned in The Quirkles: Language Learning through Science. That series seemed to be a big hit with some folks who picked up the link through Twitter.
From Shen's Books I have Grandfather's Story Cloth and D is for Doufu: An Alphabet Book of Chinese Culture from the World of Stories post.
Deadline is Friday, Jan. 29, 11:00 PM EST. But stop in before then; we'll also have some terrific Black History titles for giveaway this coming week as well.

I have been a follower of yours for about 5 months. :) I love your blog, it really helps me with my 3rd grader and 4 year old. Thank you.
I'm a follower, and would love any one of these books! The Quirkles books caught my attention because I'm putting together a preschool science program of sorts...

Thanks everyone for the comments! I love sharing great books, and it's good to see people get as excited as I do about the terrific titles available now.
I'm hoping to offer many more in my second year hosting this site.

I'm a new follower. Given the choice I'd love the Siege! or Conquest! I'm a huge history buff, but I'll take any of them.
I have to say that this is my favorite/go to blog in my Google Reader. Thank you so much - you really pull so many things together in one place.
New follower! I would take what I could get! - We are not picky here!

Wow! It's great to see so many new folks, as well as old friends. I appreciate you "jumping through the hoops" required to do the Google friend follow.
Good luck to all!
I just found your site and I'm now a new follower. I love to give books to my seven grandchildren. Thank you for the giveaway!

I've been a subscriber in Google Reader for a long time...but joined as a "follower" just today. I'd love to be entered for a chance to win! Thanks for hosting a giveaway!
Right after I finish commenting (and reading up on the rest of the posts in my reader), I am going to change the status of following from private to public. Thanks for this opportunity - I have no particular choice because we don't have any of the books mentioned. My kid is in nursery, and is four plus - so you can decide best.
Sad I missed the giveaway, but I am excited about this blog! I'm a future middle school/high school math teacher learning about using picture books for all ages. Excited about following this!

I'm a new follower who is loving your blog! I'm a librarian for Pre-K-8, so I'm always looking for ideas (especially for the middle school kids). Thanks for the opportunity to follow you (and maybe win a book!)
I have just found Keith's site and am thrilled to have done so. I have become involved in (proactively) expanding young children's emotional intelligence and realize the enormous resource available in stories. So, I am trying to build my rather small (English)picture book collection as rapidly as my being located in Vietnam will allow.
NEW Follower!!!! I am a fresh graduate going into teaching, I ran into your site when I was preparing lessons for my internship. I'm an early ed teacher so books for the younger would be best, but if your giving them away...I'll get what I get and I won't through a fit :)
Great stuf%%%%
